On Saturday, March 6, country super-star Gretchen Wilson joins the fun with a free concert at KC Live! in the Kansas City Power & Light District. On Saturday afternoon, the party kicks off at 3 p.m. with a free PBR bull rider autograph session and live music at KC Live! The autograph session and free concerts are open to the public of all ages. The afternoon music festival includes local country bands County Road 5, Hazzard County and the John Joiner Band. |

RA SUSHI INTRODUCES ANNUAL CHARITY FUNDRAISER TO KANSAS CITY MAY 30 - JUNE 5 All proceeds from special food and beverage items benefit St. Jude hildrens Research Hospital LEAWOOD, Kan. Scottsdale-based RA Sushi Bar Restaurant will host its annual Nicky's Week fundraiser May 30 - June 5 to benefit the internationally-renowned St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. All 25 RA Sushi locations, including
Leawood, will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of
various food and beverage items to help treat and cure children with
life-threatening illnesses. RA Sushi has raised more than $500,000 for
St. Jude since the fundraiser was initiated in 2005 and has a goal to
donate an additional $125,000 to the organization this year. RA Sushi
opened in Leawood at Park Place in August 2009 and will be
participating in Nicky's Week for the first time this year. |
