Reaffirming a commitment to social and civic responsibility, Kansas City Restaurant Week organizers are pleased to announce three new charitable partners as beneficiaries of 2018 Kansas City Restaurant Week. The donations raised during the 2018 event will benefit BoysGrow, Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired and Cultivate Kansas City. The Kansas City Regional Destination Development Foundation and the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association Education Foundation, will again receive a portion of the donations, as well.

American Saturday, February 10 The American, a mainstay of the expanding culinary scene in Kansas City for the last 40 years, is hosting six award-winning chefs on Saturday, February 10 for the 19th annual James Beard Foundation Dinner. A delicious tradition on behalf of the renowned culinary arts organization, it is the nation’s longest running Friends of James Beard fundraiser event and celebrates the renowned culinary arts organization; honors its visionary cooking concepts, chefs, scribes, and students; and shares the craft with foodies in the KC area.
The American's newly-appointed executive chef, Andrew Longres, is hosting the dinner, which will fuse the unique backgrounds of six chefs from around the globe, all of whom have been recognized by the James Beard Foundation.

  Saturday, February 10 The KC Brew Fest brings together dozens of craft and international breweries, as well as KC's best local breweries. The event will take place at the plaza at historic Union Station, and will feature over 40 breweries, 100 beers, music, and food. Admission if $40 for general admission (1pm to 4pm) and $50 for VIP (includes an additional hour from noon to 1pm featuring barrel aged and rare beers).
