Dear Friends,

After 28 years, we have lost an iconic restaurant - JJ's.

The outpouring of both financial and emotional support has been tremendous. I would like to thank all friends and associates in the restaurant industry who have been so generous with their time, talents and resources. I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Kansas City community who has shown how to come together in time of need. I can say that I am proud to call Kansas City my home and have appreciated all the caring thoughts and gestures following this tragedy. We are truly lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful, caring people.

We at JJ's would like to invite you, our friends, to our 28 1/2 year anniversary block party. This event, which has become a tradition for the past several years, will be held on 48th Street with live music and street food. Please join us at noon on Sunday, August 25 2013 for this celebration.
